vMix HD is Windows-based live production software designed for switching multiple HD video sources, mixing audio, adding titles and effects, streaming live programs, and recording productions locally. The number of sources that can be processed depends on the computer, GPU, and installed video capture hardware.

Product Description
vMix HD combines live video switching, streaming, recording, graphics, effects, remote contribution, and audio mixing in a single production environment. It can work with live cameras and external video feeds through compatible video capture and I/O devices from manufacturers including Blackmagic Design, Matrox, and AJA.
The software supports up to 1000 sources, although the practical number depends on the capabilities of the computer, dedicated GPU, and capture hardware. Supported inputs include cameras, remote computer screens, prerecorded video, audio files, DRM-free DVD content, PowerPoint presentations, photographs, still graphics, solid colors, and video or audio playlists.
Live programs can be streamed using RTMP, RTSP, or Flash. Virtual Capture also enables the vMix output to be used with third-party applications such as Skype, Google Hangouts, and VLC. Productions can be recorded in Full HD using AVI, MP4, MPEG-2, or WMV formats while streaming.
The included vMix Call functionality allows one remote guest to join a production through a compatible web browser on Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS. It provides peer-to-peer encryption, full-duplex audio, automatic Mix-Minus, dynamic bandwidth adjustment, NDI availability, and configurable return video and audio up to 1080p.
Production tools include ten transition effects, real-time chroma keying, built-in title templates, four HD virtual sets, multiview compositions, and four overlay channels. Inputs can be color corrected, deinterlaced, sharpened, zoomed, rotated, panned, and cropped in real time, with effects processed in a 4:4:4 32-bit color space.
The integrated audio mixer can manage embedded audio, capture-device inputs, separate audio interfaces, the computer sound card, and prerecorded audio. Available controls include mute, follow with automatic mixing, source delay, and VU metering with peak indication.
A built-in web interface enables remote operation from compatible touchscreen devices, including Microsoft Surface, Apple iPad, and Android tablets. Custom shortcut buttons can also be configured for frequently used production actions.
