The Atomos Shogun AV-19 is a professional 19-inch 4K HDR rack-mounted monitor, recorder, and switcher engineered for modern broadcast, live production, corporate AV, sports, houses of worship, education, and studio environments. Combining monitoring, recording, switching, routing, and networked production capabilities into a single 7RU rackmount solution, the Shogun AV-19 streamlines complex workflows while delivering exceptional image quality and operational efficiency.
At the heart of the system is a stunning 19-inch 4K UHD HDR touchscreen display with 1200 nits brightness, 100% Rec.709, 99% DCI-P3, and 99% NTSC color coverage, providing accurate image evaluation for directors, technical directors, engineers, and camera operators. The large display supports both quad-split multi-view monitoring and full-screen operation, making it ideal for multi-camera productions.
Designed for professional recording workflows, the Shogun AV-19 supports Apple ProRes, ProRes RAW, and Avid DNx codecs, recording directly to CFexpress Type B media or compatible USB-C storage devices. Users can simultaneously record up to four isolated camera feeds (ISOs) plus a fifth program output, providing maximum flexibility for post-production, replay, archiving, and live event coverage.
For live productions, the integrated switcher allows real-time source selection, monitoring, and routing. The unit features 2 x 12G-SDI inputs, 2 x 3G-SDI inputs, 12G-SDI output, HDMI input/output, professional XLR audio I/O, and Gigabit Ethernet with NDI® HX3 transmit and receive support, enabling seamless integration into IP-based production environments.
The Shogun AV-19 also includes a complete suite of professional monitoring tools, including EL Zone™ False Color, Focus Peaking, Waveform Monitoring, Log-to-LUT preview, and support for 3D LUTs and .cube files, allowing users to make critical exposure, focus, and color decisions with confidence.
