The OBSBOT Tail 2 AI-Powered PTZR 4K Live Production Camera is designed for live streaming, remote production, and conference environments. It combines a 1/1.5-inch 50MP CMOS sensor with intelligent tracking, advanced autofocus, optical zoom, and multiple video output interfaces.

With built-in Network Device Interface (NDI) support, the Tail 2 integrates into IP-based production workflows without requiring a separate license key for its integrated NDI functionality.

AI-Powered Tracking and Framing

The Tail 2 features intelligent human, animal, and object tracking, including Only Me and Group Tracking modes. Its AI auto-framing capabilities include an adjustable 3x–24x auto zoom range and composition lines to help position subjects within the frame.

The camera also supports gesture-based controls for tracking activation, zoom adjustments, and recording control. Adjustable pan and tilt tracking speeds provide additional control over camera movement.

Imaging and Autofocus

The 1/1.5-inch 50MP CMOS sensor is paired with 5x optical zoom and 12x hybrid zoom. All-pixel phase detection autofocus (PDAF) supports fast and precise focusing. Additional focus modes include Regular Focus, Face Focus, and Foreground Focus.

Video Connectivity and Integration

The Tail 2 provides HDMI output supporting up to 4K at 60 fps and 1080p at 120 fps. Additional interfaces include 3G-SDI, USB-C 2.1 Gen 1, IP streaming, RS-232 input/output, and 3.5mm microphone and line audio inputs. A microSD card slot supports recording.

Wireless Control and Power

Wi-Fi 6 connectivity supports wireless control and data transmission. The built-in 5000mAh battery provides up to five hours of video shooting and live streaming. An integrated tally light indicates the camera’s on-air or program status.

Virtual Production

FreeD protocol support and specified angular vibration of ±0.003° support virtual production applications requiring camera tracking data.

Included Smart Remote Controller

This package includes one OBSBOT Tail 2 camera and one OBSBOT Tail Air Smart Remote Controller. The remote uses Bluetooth connectivity and features joystick-style gimbal control and gyroscope-based control through wrist movements. It can connect to and switch between up to three Tail Air cameras.
