Description
DZOFilm VESPID 50mm T2.1 Full-Frame Cinema Lens
The DZOFilm VESPID 50mm T2.1 Lens is a compact and lightweight cinema prime designed for professional full-frame cinematography. Its 50mm focal length provides a versatile perspective for narrative, commercial, documentary, and independent filmmaking.
The lens features an ARRI PL mount and includes a Canon EF adapter, providing flexibility for use with a wide variety of modern and traditional cinema camera systems. Its full-frame coverage supports an image circle up to 46.5mm.
Fast T2.1 Aperture
With an aperture range from T2.1 to T22, the VESPID 50mm provides filmmakers with excellent control over exposure and depth of field. Its 16-blade iris produces smooth, rounded out-of-focus highlights and natural-looking bokeh.
Designed for Professional Cinema Production
The lens incorporates standard 0.8 MOD cine gears on the focus and iris controls, allowing integration with professional follow-focus systems, lens motors, and lens-control systems.
The focus ring provides 270° of rotation for precise focus pulls, while the iris ring provides 58° of rotation.
Compact Full-Frame Design
The VESPID series combines full-frame coverage with a relatively compact form factor. The 50mm lens measures approximately 87mm in length and weighs approximately 732g, making it well suited for handheld shooting, gimbals, drones, and other configurations where size and weight are important.
80mm Front Diameter
A standardized 80mm front diameter makes the lens compatible with a wide range of cine-style matte boxes and allows faster lens changes when working with other lenses that share the same front diameter.
The lens also provides a 77mm filter thread for compatible screw-on filters.
Durable Metal Construction
Metal construction provides the durability required for regular professional production while maintaining a compact and manageable form factor.
