Its eight bidirectional SD/HD/3G-SDI connections can be independently configured to provide different combinations of video capture and playback channels.

Eight Independent SDI Channels

The card features eight DIN 1.0/2.3 (Mini-BNC) SDI connectors. Each channel can use a different video standard, allowing flexible configurations for multi-input capture, playback, and broadcast applications. The card supports up to eight simultaneous video inputs and video formats up to 1080p60.

Video Format Support

The DeckLink Quad 2 supports uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 video, along with compressed formats including Apple ProRes and Avid DNxHD. Additional supported formats include DNxHR, AVC-Intra, AVCHD, DV, DVCPRO, HDV, and XDCAM.

The card also supports video conversion functions, including cross-conversion between 720p and 1080p and SD upconversion to 720p or 1080p during capture.

Embedded Audio and Reference Input

The card supports 16 channels of embedded audio per SDI input or output. An additional DIN connector provides Blackburst, reference, and Tri-Level Sync input for supported synchronization workflows.

Software and Operating System Compatibility

The DeckLink Quad 2 is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux. Included software and drivers provide capture, media management, and device configuration functions. Supported applications include DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, OBS Studio, and vMix.

KEY FEATURES

Eight bidirectional SD/HD/3G-SDI connections

8-lane PCIe 2.0 x8 interface

Independently configurable capture and playback channels

Supports up to eight simultaneous video inputs

Video formats up to 1080p60

Supports uncompressed 10-bit 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 video

Supports Apple ProRes, DNxHR, DNxHD, AVC-Intra, AVCHD, and other formats

16-channel embedded SDI audio per input/output

Blackburst, reference, and Tri-Level Sync input

Compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux

Includes Blackmagic software and drivers

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

General

Brand: Blackmagic Design

Product Name: DeckLink Quad 2 8-Channel 3G-SDI Capture &
