Description
The Blackmagic Design Micro Converter HDMI to SDI 12G with Power Supply is a compact converter designed to connect HDMI cameras or computers to SDI equipment such as professional monitors and other SDI components. It provides one HDMI input and two 12G-SDI outputs, allowing the HDMI signal to be distributed to multiple SDI devices.
The converter supports HDMI and SDI video from NTSC and PAL standards through DCI/UHD 4K60. The SDI outputs support 8/10-bit 4:2:2 RGB and YUV video, while the HDMI input supports 8/10-bit 4:2:2 RGB and YUV. The unit automatically detects and matches the HDMI input to the SDI output.
For professional video workflows, the Micro Converter features SDI re-clocking for stable output over longer cable runs, HDMI timecode support, and HDMI copy protection with HDCP 2.2 support. The SDI outputs support selectable Level A and B formats when using 3G-SDI.
The converter includes embedded audio support through HDMI and SDI. LED indicators provide information about power and video signals, while the metal housing and rugged connector interfaces are designed for use in production environments.
Power can be supplied through the USB Type-C port from a compatible monitor, laptop, or other component. This version also includes a 5V power supply and an international plug adapter set. The USB Type-C connection can also be used for firmware updates from a Windows or macOS computer.
