Description
The Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Express Monitor 3G Playback Device allows you to monitor video from your computer through SDI or HDMI connections. Using a computer’s high-speed USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 connection, it provides video output to a large-screen TV, projector, or monitor equipped with an SDI or HDMI input.
Designed as a pocket-sized, ultra-portable device, the UltraStudio Express Monitor 3G supports common SD and HD video standards up to 1080p60. It provides uncompressed and compressed 10-bit 4:2:2 YUV or RGB video quality and supports popular video formats such as Apple ProRes, Avid DNxHD, and 10-bit uncompressed signals.
The device connects to a computer through its USB-C Thunderbolt 4 interface and provides one 3G-SDI output and one HDMI output. HDMI and SDI outputs support 1920 x 1080p video at up to 60 fps, with 10-bit 4:2:2 RGB and YUV support. Embedded audio is supported through the HDMI and SDI outputs.
The UltraStudio Express Monitor 3G works with macOS, Windows, and Linux computers equipped with a high-speed USB-C/Thunderbolt 4 connection. It is also compatible with popular video editing software, including DaVinci Resolve.
Power is supplied through the USB-C connection, allowing the device to draw power directly from an attached computer. A free developer SDK is also included for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
