Description
The Blackmagic Design UltraStudio Express Recorder 3G is a compact video capture device designed to capture or stream video from a camera or another SDI or HDMI source through a computer’s Thunderbolt connection.
Video Connectivity
The device features one BNC 3G-SDI input and one HDMI 2.0 input. Video is output to the connected computer through a USB-C Thunderbolt 4 connection. It supports resolutions up to 2048 x 1080p at 60 fps through SDI and up to 1920 x 1080p at 60 fps through HDMI.
Video Formats
The UltraStudio Express Recorder 3G supports RGB and YUV video, including uncompressed and compressed 10-bit 4:2:2 signals. It supports popular video formats such as Apple ProRes and Avid DNxHD, as well as embedded audio through HDMI and SDI.
Power and Compatibility
The device receives power through its USB-C connector. It is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux and supports NTSC and PAL broadcast systems. A developer SDK for Mac, Windows, and Linux is included.
